Why old builds stop working
Streaming apps are half app, half server. When the Cinemana servers move on, old app builds lose the ability to fetch the catalog or start streams. The app opens, the spinner spins, and nothing loads. This is the most common reason people go hunting for old versions in the first place: their build quietly expired. This is why installing the current build beats hunting for old ones.
The case for updating

If you must go old
The only defensible reason is a very old phone where the newest build refuses to install. In that case, uninstall the current copy completely first, then sideload the older file, and keep your expectations modest: some features will not work. Grab the current build from the download page first and confirm it truly will not install before going backward.
